About Janice Garden Macdonald

I'm a Canadian writer, mother, and grandmother with a lifelong love of storytelling. Over the years, I've been honored with several awards, including the Zoetrope Short Fiction Award and the Moondance Film Festival prize for an animated screenplay. I’ve also received a Canada Council Grant for my work in short fiction.

Once upon a time, I owned a cozy little bookstore, where I spent the slow days reading, and the slower days writing — and I’ve never stopped since.

Whether it’s a picture book that brings giggles or a mystery that keeps readers turning pages, I believe in the joy of a good story — and the magic of sharing it.
